All of our new activities are subject to availability and dependant on weather conditions. We will aim to inform you as soon as possible if your activity is unavailable but will also aim to provide an alternative activity for your group in these instances if required.

One of the most unique additions to our activities for 2024 is sumo wresting. In this activity we will provide you with padded sumo suits and a sumo matt to allow your group to have a real sumo battle experience while remaining perfectly safe inside the oversized padded suits.

This activity is a great way to mix up the usual camping experiance for the young people, a great way to bond a group together and a very entertaining activity to participate in or even just to watch.

We offer the suits in adult and child sizes so everyone can be involved in the fun.

Another brand new activity we are now offering in 2024 is our 40ft long inflatable obstacle course.
Our Inflatable Obstacle course provides great entertainment and a brilliant activity for all ages. Our all in one Obstacle course featuring a massive 8ft platform slide and inflatable obstacles. This Activity is a brilliant additions to group camps & activity days providing many funfilled hours to the young people.

This activity is available for £60 for a 2 hour session for Scouts & Guides (additional hours are £20 per hour)

This activity is available for £90 for a 2 hour session for all other groups (additional hours are £30 per hour)

Another great activity we are now offering for 2024 is our huge inflatable bouncy castle.

This activity is a classic style bouncy castle but on a huge scale. The spiderman themed bouncy castle proveds a fun but tiring activity that is suitable for both young people and adults as a brilliant and funfilled addition to your camping trip.

This activity is available for £60 for a 2 hour session for Scouts & Guides (additional hours are £20 per hour)

This activity is available for £90 for a 2 hour session for all other groups (additional hours are £30 per hour)

This self instructed activity consists of your group undertaking the construction of a self supporting bridge with no mechanical fasteners or adhesives based on one of Leonardo Da Vinci’s designs

This activity provides a fun but difficult problem solving activity for your group to undertake and try to complete as a team. It is a great way to grow particular skills between your group of young people including leadership, teamwork, communication and problem solving skills.

For this activity you will be provided with a kit containing all the required materials to build a da vinci bridge aswell as step by step instructions of how to correctly build the self supported bridge.

This activity is available for £10 per kit for a 1 hour session (maximum of 2 kits available)

From beginners to intermediate, Air rifle and pistol shooting at dog hill can be a very enjoyable activity to help develop new and existing skills.

Our newly built shooting range allows for the activity to be taken part in a safe controlled area as well as allowing plenty of space for the activity and for others to sit and watch out of the wind and rain.

For this activity a Firearms Act 1968 ‘’section 21’’ declaration form must be signed for each person.

Angel and tomahawk throwing is an incredibly fun, easy to learn activity where you will learn how to safely and correctly throw angels and tomahawks, developing or learning new a new skill.

Our brand new outdoor Archery range is now open!!!

Our instructor lead archery lessons offer a very enjoyable activity to a wide range of participants from a new beginner to more experienced individuals our archery range is available to meet your needs. The fun and engaging sessions teaches you the essentials of archery, allows you to learn or develop a new skill as well as compete against your fellow friends in friendly competitions.

Why not try one of our newest type of activity. Learning how to use a catapult with a twist. Instead of normal ammo with our catapults you fire paintballs to cause a big splat on the target allowing the activity to be a lot more interesting and exciting for the young people.

Dog Hill Scout and Community Campsite also offers many different self instructed activities that are listed below.

Self instructed activities refer to activities where we provide the equipment, resources and instructions to correctly and safely run the desired activity so that you are able to run the activity yourself for the young people.

All resources and equipment are required to be returned to the site staff on completion of each activity.

Orienteering is a fun and engaging activity where in groups you will navigate your way around the whole site searching for orienteering check points. Once you have found all the checkpoints you will then use the code breaking sheet to work out what the orienteering course spells out.

The orienteering course is available to be adjusted to your group’s needs including some challenging to find points for older groups as well as the ability to be shortened for younger groups, allowing the activity to be available to all.

This Activity is available for £2 per person, including a free Dog Hill badge for every participant.

Soft Archery allows you to run your own archery session for your group using our soft archery kits, this activity is recommended for younger groups to experience a new activity but is available to all ages.

The kits contain easy to use bows and suction cup arrows that when shot stick onto a large archery target, similar to real archery. This activity is available to be run in any location including indoors, providing a fun and dry activity for the young people on a wet day.

Rental of this activity is available at £30 for a 2-hour session including 2 soft archery kits.

Soft Axe Throwing allows you to run your own axe throwing session for your group using our new soft axe throwing kits.

The kits contain foam axes that when thrown stick into a large pin board, similar to real axe throwing. This activity is available to be run in any location including indoors, providing a fun and dry activity for the young people on a wet day.

Rental of this activity is available at £30 for a 2-hour session including 2 soft axe throwing kits.
